Music & Dance
Children who grow up hearing music, singing songs and moving to the beat enjoy "a rich sensory environment".

When children are exposed to a wide variety of tastes, smells, textures, colors, and sounds, more pathways are forged between the cells in their brains. Musical experiences are an important way to help create these pathways, also called neural connections. And while listening to music is certainly key to creating them, it's when children actively participate in music that they make the strongest connections.

Research shows that children who are actively involved in music (who play it or sing it regularly):
  • Do better in reading and math when they start school
  • Are better able to focus and control their bodies since playing, singing and dancing to music increases both fine and gross motor skills and helps develop hand-eye coordination
  • Play better with others and have higher self-esteem
WeCare™ provides an environment rich with music and movement, to allow for the exploration of musical equipment and to engage in plenty of diverse and stimulating musical activities.
We have a good selection of non-toxic and child-safe rhythm instruments:
  • Bells on wrist & ankle bands
  • Castanets
  • Drums
  • Flutes
  • Maracas & Shakers
  • Rain Sticks
  • Tablas
  • Whistles
  • Xylophone
We emphasize on participation, not performance. This allows the child to learn at his or her own pace, enjoying the music without the pressure of “doing it right” for performances.
We emphasize
on participation,
not performance
